Get your official T-shirts now -- No, seriously right now

The dust has barely settled from the celebration that ensued after the final out of Game 6 of the World Series, yet MLB is already pushing merchandise through its Twitter account. Check out the link of this tweet:

MLB Stage set up behind 2nd base for presentation of Commissioner's Trophy to 27-time World Champion#Yankees http://bit.ly/3silyK

Do we really need to know the stage is set up for the presentation? Or is this just a not-so-subtle attempt to push MLB merchandise without directly saying "Here, buy our stuff"? I'll take choice No. 2. But who can blame them in this economy? You have to make every second count these days when consumers have to mull over in their head: Championship shirt, breakfast in the morning? Championship shirt, breakfast in the morning?

Ever wonder where the losers' previously-made championship T-shirts and hats go? Where the Buffalo Bills are a dynasty of the past and the Arizona Cardinals are the reigning Super Bowl champs.
